  1. Love the pictures! And it's always fun to learn more about the bloggers we follow!

  2. I love your photos! I've never been to Barbardos but I've wanted to visit since I read The Witch of Blackbird Pond. And Italy!! I've never been but I'm dying to go. Someday. . . .

  3. Red, Thanks! You're right, it is always nice to learn more about bloggers other than just bookish stuff. You should do it too!

Karen, I haven't read The Witch of Blackbird Pond. I probably should, but then I'll just long to go back to Barbados...

  4. This is neat-- and I wish I had seen it sooner so I could have participated! I feel like after reading yours I haven't lived anywhere! Haha. Awesome list-- looks like you've done so much and had a great time doing it. I agree that it's really nice to read things about the bloggers we spend so much time discussing books! Q: Why Bloomington, IN? I considered going to grad school there but couldn't make the decision in the end. Is it nice? I hear it is. P.S. I am so behind on my reading schedule and I see you just blowing through them. Good job!

  5. Beth, You can still participate! It's not just like a one day thing. I'd love to see your answers! Like Alley said it's always fun to learn more about the bloggers we follow. Anyhow, about the Bloomington - it's where one of my very favorite friend lives, one that I don't get to see nearly enough, that I am in love with. (Full disclosure we were together for four years and his career took precedent over me so we split, but I still have a massive place in my heart for him. He's in grad school there and working for the University and I don't get to visit nearly enough, hence my "I'd rather be there". He is also the one I refer to as "my pups" in people important to me.)

  6. I absolutely adore your site! You aggressive me as able-bodied as all the others actuality and your broiled is absolutely nice.

  7. Brenna -
Thank you for offering such a primo example of what a well-crafted response to a meme can be (of course, the meme itself's a fine template too)!
Atwood, Murakami, and Foer are three of my fave writers, too, so it's nice to see we have that and world travel in common.
I'd love to see your response to our Bard's Birthday-to-Baptism Blog Hop at What She Read, too, if you happen upon a few spare minutes in the next couple of days...
In any case, I hope you keep posting as I always enjoy your writing (and thinking).

  8. It was fun to learn more about you, hope you had a Happy Easter.

  9. I used to be a barista too, first at Starbucks, then at a little coffeeshop. I love your re-read picks and I'm with you on the Stella. I also had a pizza that looked almost exactly like that when I was in Florence. The next time you get a chance to visit your friend in Bloomington, IN you should let me know. I'm an hour from there and we could grab coffee!

  10. Daniel, Thanks!

Laurie, Thanks for the kind words. I like comments that keep up my moral :)

    Lindy, Thanks you too!

Avid Reader, I'll keep that in mind! That would be really fun! I've yet to meat a blogger that I've connected with online in the real world.

  11. Brenna - It's strange, we all chat and talk about what we're reading, yet we've never met. I've met a couple fellow bloggers and it's always been fun to discuss books in person.

  12. Avid reader, I bet! I've always wanted to meet a handful of bloggers that I am especially chatty with - you included!
